Week 9: Podcasts, Video & Downloadable audio

I was happy to see YouTube on the list of things. I have seen many videos before, but now I have a real reason to search for crazy things. I love the silliest things you get to see people post here. One thing I do not like was all the sex stuff that pops up during your search. That should be moved to a separate place on the site.I found one video I liked, because these girls are tearing those guys up. Girls Rock!
">

Well sorry to say at this point I still cannot get my Bloglines account validated. They sent me a validation email but that did not help at all. None the less I found a feed in which I like. I will try my best to get that feed to you when ever possible.

I don't know if it is me or what but I can't even get to the Netlibrary or Overdrive site to even try and make an account. It is a bit frustrating. I would like to find more audio books to read during my commute to work. I have seen the tutorials and would enjoy the chance to try it. Again I will have to try again at some other time to try the sites.

Finally, The End! Just kidding guys and gals. I have enjoyed and have been frustrated on these 23 things journey. Hands down my favorite discovery have been the avatar maker. In fact I am making another one as we speak. One good thing with this exercise is that it made me look closer at goals that I want to accomplish. The ultimate take away from this exercise is how much I really did enjoy the 23 things. I went into it with apprehension but came out pleasantly surprised. One thing I would change is the making of accounts. I found it unpleasant to make accounts for everything. That was a bit of a hassle. If another discovery program was offered I might be hesitant again but most likely come out enjoying the experience again.I enjoyed the program so much I believe word of mouth has spread the news like wildfire. if I finished it, it must have been great. It took me a while to get started, but once i began I was hooked. That is truly personality number 3, from the leading to any position workshop. We may procrastinate but we always get the job done and on time!

Week 8: Online Applications & Tools

These tools remind me of the Microsoft tool that I am somewhat familiar with. They made me feel comfortable with using these applications and that I would be able to as some flair to my online adventure you have sent me on.

After browsing the Web 2.0 award list I found YouTube more to my liking. YouTube has all the videos that I have long forgotten about. I had a mini concert while exploring. One thing I did not like was the repetition of the videos when i was searching for something specific. Either way I enjoy YouTube the best.

Week 7: Wikis

Wikis are an interesting concept, I found it interesting that anyone can add and edit information through out the wikis. Wikis would be a great tool for libraries, all librarians from anywhere can come together in one forum and institute there ideas and/or knowledge. Simple answer what's in a wiki, information.

Adding my blog to the list was interesting. I am still overwhelmed with information. Learning never the less.

Week 6: Tagging, Folksonomies & Technorati

Unfortunately the http://www.library2.0.ottergroup.com/blog/_archives/2006/2/19/1772390.html was not working when i was trying to access the tutorial. I will try again later and see if i can get it done. From just doing this exercise I believe i understand what tagging is about but none the less I couldn't get my hands dirty with it.

Tecnorati is good tool for search the massive amount of blogs out there. Most of the popular searches are things that are going on in the world with a few odd search popping up. Which I always seem to click on, tee hee.

Week 5: Play Week

Wow, This was my favorite activity so far!!I enjoyed making my fake me. Can't wait for more.

The Library thing is useful to share books and authors that you enjoy. I shared this with my daughter and we reminisced on the books that we have read together. It also reminded me of the Sister Souljah books that I had read so long ago. http://www.librarything.com/catalog/rjwarbi

Last but not least, or at least I hope, is the Rollyo. http://www.rollyo.com/index.html. As much as I enjoyed making the avatar, it was the total opposite with Rollyo. Let's hope that the rest of the things isn't as bad as this was.

Week 4 RSS & Newsreaders

Well I must say that this task was frustrating cause I could not get a verification email from the Blogline site. I understand to a point what rss does and why some people would like the feeds. I would have to find something that i really like to want information that quickly. I haven't found anything yet, tee hee.

Now Merlin is nice but my eyes still haven't gotten use to how to read all of this information at once and find all of what I want to know. At the same time I always seem to find something interesting while searching. That's one of the positive I guess. I can't wait to see what the next thing you have for me to do.
